Its coming up to that time of the year again… only 2 weeks to go and we will dive in full throttle into Christmas lunches, dinner, celebrating, boozing and being indulgent!photo 2 (72)

Here is a photo led post of some recent eats and treats around London town and thing’s I’ve cooked up at home. I start with some good-looking Christmas nibbles at Matthews Yard, in Croydon, my local haunt and favourite joint to get a cup of tea, cake and the lunch options are quite good too.photo 3 (71)

They have a Christmas Club sandwich, filled with turkey, bacon, pork stuffing and cranberry.. enough said.

Perfect for Sunday morning breakfasts, crispy bacon, maple syrup on fluffy pancakes is a must have at least one or twice in your life!photo 3 (67) photo 2 (68)

A visit to Asma Khan’s Darjeeling Express Supperclub, great host, genuine food, she pours her heart and passion into her cuisine and you can taste it. We had Calcutta Dam Mutton Briyani, Carrot Halwa plus as other dishes.photo 2 (73)                                                                       An unexpected trip to The Dorchester Grill on behalf of Zomato, beautiful building, grand in every scale, exceptional customer service and high quality food. We started with scallops, lobster sliders, black truffles encasing parmesan and squid crackers.photo 1 (84)

Then moved on to my choice of a Jerusalem Artichoke soup, followed by tender moist medium rare venison in a blackcurrant reduction and beetroot.

Finished with an amazing dessert of a Hazelnut Moelleux with chocolate soil and mascarpone ice cream. Cracking open this chocolate ball, oozing out chocolaty goodness.

Visiting Canteen restaurant in London, doing the best for British cuisine, fish and chips was a must, chunky fish in a crisp thin batter, lots of chips and to finish it all off apple crumble with two pots of custard…
